Negro Marquina recommended finishing
The Negro Marquina is a reference black marble from China, with a good history and reference projects done in several parts of the world. It is also a marble that can adapt well to certain types of finishings, according to the project needs. We present below some finishings that we most recommend:
Polished
The number one finishing is definitely the polished one. This is the type of finishing that uses the full potential of this black marble, showing a very shiny appearance, and a deep black colour. The contrast between the black coloured background and its white vein its at its fullest with this finishing.
This is a preferential type of finishing to the used on flooring applications.
Sandblasted
A growing type of finishing, the sandblasted makes the black coloured Negro Marquina turn into a light black/greyish coloured stone. In addition, its surface becomes slightly rough and with an old look.
This is a preferential type of finishing to be used on flooring applications, as well as some coverings and cladding.
Bush-Hammered
An alternative to the sandblasted finishing, the bush-hammered is a good choice if you would like to add a rough / anti-slippery property to your surface. This finishing changes the natural colour of the Negro Marquina into a lighter type.
It is commonly used on wall cladding and even some flooring (specially if a light brushed finishing is applied after bush-hammered)
Brushed
Another alternative to the sandblasted finishing, the brushed finishing is quite interesting because it maintain much of the original black colour, but adding an anti-slippery property and rustic look.
This is mostly used on exterior flooring, as well as diverse interior decoration applications.
